Blue Shark Bites Swimmer in Spain
On 17 August 2023, a man wading in shallow water at Rabdells Beach, Spain, was bitten by a blue shark. He first saw a shadow before the shark bumped his left leg and bit his right foot.
Authorities closed nearby beaches for investigation but reopened them the next day. The man was treated for minor injuries and given a tetanus shot.
