Before 1906, an Australian fisherman frustrated by sharks stealing his snapper catch struck at one with a lance. However, he lost his balance and fell overboard, where he was immediately attacked by a group of blue pointer sharks.
Witnesses stated that the man was completely consumed before he could be rescued.
