Shark Lunges at Boy Fishing in Great Barrier Reef
On 30 January 2023, eight-year-old Manni Alam was fishing with his father at Lady Musgrave Island, Great Barrier Reef, Australia, when a shark lunged out of the water and bit him on the chest. The incident happened as he posed for a TikTok video with a freshly caught coral trout.
The shark quickly released him and disappeared, leaving Manni with only a minor scratch.
