Two Shark Attacks Reported on Same Day in Western Australia

On 29 April 2023, two separate shark attacks occurred in Western Australia.

In Yallingup, a swimmer suffered minor injuries after being bitten about 15 metres from shore. The incident, reported at 11:20 a.m., led to warnings from authorities.

Later that day, 11-year-old Archie Blake was snorkeling at Kurrajong Campground, Cape Range National Park, when he was bitten on the leg. He received first aid on the beach before being airlifted to Perth Children’s Hospital for further treatment.
