Teenage Girl Killed in Rare Swan River Shark Attack

On 4 February 2023, 16-year-old Stella Berry was killed by a bull shark while swimming in the Swan River, Perth, Australia. She had jumped into the water to swim with a pod of dolphins when the shark attacked.

Her boyfriend pulled her from the water, but she died at the scene. Authorities later caught a 2.5-metre bull shark in the river, close to the attack site.
